Our client, located in Calgary’s SE, is a private, not-for-profit Residents’ Association is adding to their team…..Are you an experienced, well-rounded administrative professional, well-versed in organizational improvements, capable of taking the lead on projects and keen to make things run smoothly? Reporting to the General Manager the Office Coordinator/Administrator will undertake a variety of day-to-day office and clerical tasks. You will be an integral part in ensuring the office operations run smoothly and ensuring operations are efficient and add maximum value to the organization. The successful candidate will bring a broad working knowledge of departmental, facility, and industry practices, policies, programs, and values. This is cross-functional position, performing a number of important administrative tasks, interacting with all departments.

The Office Coordinator/Administrator is responsible for:

  • Monitoring and identifying strategies to improve services, systems and process
  • Coordinating with various teams to implement approved policies and programs
  • Ensuring office personnel are adhering to the established Policies and Procedures and Employee Handbook
  • Assisting department coordinators in planning, organizing, implementing, and accomplishing department day-to-day operations and goals
  • Determining future office requirements in coordination with GM
  • Following office workflow procedures to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Maintaining files and records with effective filing systems
  • Overall office/administrative functions within the organization

Qualifications necessary to be successful in the role:

  • Excellent written & verbal communication, organizational, customer service skills
  • Time management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities/tasks
  • Advanced knowledge: MS Office, Outlook, and Experience using recreation management software is an asset (Ivrnet Central)
  • Must be community oriented and have a genuine interest in recreation
  • Current CPR Level C & First Aid; Criminal record check is required; Valid Alberta Driver’s license
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift over 20 kilograms
