From detailed dealership analysis to the design and distribution of personalized marketing collateral, our client assists dealerships to maximize their sales potential by teaching them how to effectively manage the sales cycle and facilitate as positive experience for all.

You live and breathe cars. The Automotive Sales Trainer is responsible for the successful execution of private sale events. The incumbent will use extensive knowledge of the automotive industry to help car dealerships maximize sales. You’ll represent the company in a professional manner and provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Execute private sale events by coordinating with Marketing & Event Coordinators, clients, and other internal staff
  • Host private sale events in a professional manner
  • Arrange the dealership layout for the private sale event according to company standards
  • Call dealership clients to confirm or book sales appointments
  • Complete and submit accurate post-sale summaries and reports with high attention to detail
  • Maintain an awareness of industry knowledge, and current or upcoming trends


  • Deliver comprehensive training programs to car dealerships
  • Conduct pre-sale telephone training to assist the dealership staff to book sales appointments
  • Coach and mentor car dealership staff on customer service and sales skills
  • Motivate car dealership staff by maintaining an energetic and positive attitude

Customer Service & Other

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to maximize business results
  • Respond in a timely manner to customer inquiries and problems
  • Lead by example to showcase positive company culture


Education & Experience

  • 5+ years of automotive sales management and/or sales training experience
  • Current Provincial Automotive Sales License; i.e., OMVIC, AMVIC, VSA as required
  • Post-secondary education in Business and/or Marketing is an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Proficient with PC and Apple computers

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • A valid driver’s license is required
  • A valid passport is considered an asset
  • An effective communicator with excellent presentation skills
  • Fluent in German, and the ability to speak either French or Spanish is an asset
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deal with customers tactfully and effectively in a fast-paced working environment
  • A results-orientated individual who thrives in a target-driven environment and through the success of others
  • Proven ability to remain confident and calm in high pressure environments
  • Organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Willing and able to travel country-wide and/or internationally
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills

Most time will be spent in a car dealership environment and light lifting may be required to move products or displays. Travelling away from home to country-wide and/or international dealerships is a regular part of the job. Working outside of normal hours is required to attend private sale events, meetings, and related duties. During private sale events, you may be required to stand for long periods of time with very few breaks due to the fast-paced environment.
